A PARENT’S LAMENT

Left to float your own boat,
a mighty ship you sail.
The tide runs against you,
with focus, you prevail.
One breath of understandeng
from passing winds you ingnore.
Calling you with open arms wiating,
on my lonely shore.

It really was a very pleasent strole.

I Came Alive

Who am I?

I was wondering.

So I Came Alive!

*

There is you.

Now I have

another drive.

*

Where am I?

I was wondering,

so I moved on.

*

Where are you?

Did you follow me,

did your heart lead you?

*

Who are we?

Are we one where once

there were two?

*

Look at me.

Am I

the mirror of you?

*

Oh, but it’s true.

I can not love

without you.

*

Do you need me?

I was wondering.

So I Came Alive.

NEVERMORE…

Long ago and far away…

I remember you

like it was yesterday.

.

I remember the kisses you gave…

Before we waved…goodbye.

.

So long ago…

.

Yesterday and days before.

I had to leave, for a distant shore.

Oh, it’s just the nature of war…

I might see you, Nevermore…

.

No no no more.

No no no more

.

Oh no…no…no.

Nevermore!

Just Another Day

Just Another Day.

Sometimes it feels that way.

What can I say?

.

Goodbye is so yesterday.

.

Before you go,

I want you to know.

Baby, I can’t live without you.

.

If you go away,

I will pray, you never

have to live through.

.

Just Another Day.

Sometimes it turns out that way.

What can I say?

.

Goodbye is so yesterday.

.

BRIDGE

.

Just another day.

Please chase those rainclouds  away.

What can I say?

.

Goodbye is so yesterday.

.

While your still here.

Let me whisper in your sweet ear.

Baby, I love you.

.

Don’t go away.

I’m begging you to stay.

Stay, please stay!

.

Just Another Day.

We could work it out someway

If I had my say.

.

Goodbye would never

happen today.

Dream Girl

I hear you call

You don’t know my name

I wonder how you came

To be

In my dream

I hear you calling

and hey

 Did she ask my name

Ask me how I came

to be

alone with me

Am I crazy

or just a

Free spirit

I don’t do what I’m told

You can put me on the street

Leave me in the cold

I’ll find my way back to my dream

of you

calling

You don’t know my name

I wonder how you came

to be

And hey

Did she ask my name

Ask how I came

to be

alone with me

Am I crazy

or just

Do what I do

I got

No thought for you

All I want to be

Is alone with me

Then she came into my dream

She changed my reality

Now I think outside of me

Where are you

Where are you now

I hear you call

I don’t know your name

I wonder how you came

to be

ALMOST AN IRISHMAN

I’m almost An Irishman

I had me half a pint o beer.

I raised me cup into the air

I said Happy New Year.

.

Or was it Saint Patrick’s

I don’t remember when.

And I’ll be giving half a damned

Being half an Irishman.

.

I’m Almost An Irishman

It happens this time all year.

I don’t have a pot o luck

But I do bring good cheer

.

I know you Irish

Love old Patrick dear.

As for me I blame him

For my addiction to green beer.

.

I got one foot in Ireland

One foot in Amerikay.

In case I wake up

And miss Saint Patrick’s day.

.

I’m Almost An Irishman

I had me half a pint o beer.

I raised me cup into the air

I said have a bonny day.

OLD GLORY MITTENS

Old Glory Mittens

Purring like kittens

Stole up on big old Fred!

.

Old Glory Mittens!

.

Old Glory Mittens

Swift as kittens

Smacked big Fred in the head!

.

Old Glory Mittens!

.

Big Fred went crying

Momma came flying

Shot Glory Mittens dead!

.

Old….Glory…..Mittens!

.

But Old Glory Mittens

Nine live like kittens

Got right back up instead!

.

Old Glory Mittens!

.

Old Glory Mittens

Silent as kittens

Crept on on big mommas back!

.

Old….Glory Mittens!

.

Old Glory Mittens

Precise as kittens

Applied a most surgical thwack!

.

Oh….Gory….Mittens!

.

Big momma Fred

She fell down dead

With no recompense!

.

Oh…Glory Mittens!

.

Old Glory Mittens

Purring like kittens

Jumped fight over the fence!

.

Oh….Glory….Mittens!

Dance

Hey, I wrote a simple song.

the words are easy, you can sing along.

I don’t even know what they mean.

No?  Tell me, what can you say?

What can you, what can you, what can you say?

We have so many people

with so many dreams.

When your asleep

is life what it seems?

Look at the faces we pass on the way

When we meet love,  We forget what to say.

Tell me, what can we say?

We just DANCE.

Oh, I know, the road is long.

Always winding and never down.

Still, nobody knows where they are  going.

No?  Tell me, where are you now?

where are you, where are you, where are you now?

So many people with so many dreams.

When we’re asleep,

is life what it seems.

Look at the faces we pass on the way

When we meet love,  We forget what to say.

Tell me, what can we say?

We just DANCE.

NUIT

Image

NUIT

I saw you in the shadows as I wandered through my mind.

Looking for bright promise, I found an empty land.

‘Tis not I, the old crow cried, in shrill agony.

Suffering from without, a nestling in an lonely tree.

…..

I spied wolf hunting, baring teeth, eyes a-gleam.

With one eye open, not for you, but breathing close to me.

You, I pulled from bracken, I dusted off your cloak.

The wind still crying Mary, when from that shadow spoke.

…..

I blow around the world, I dread what I see.

I no longer cool, crow’s ageless agony.

The bees have all vanished.  No wing beats for me.

I lift no bird or plane.  Dessert is all there be.

…..

The men have gone to mars.  The moon blown from the sky.

The age of promise past, the promise was a lie.

I felt you in the shadows, as I wandered through my heart.

My blood mixing sadly, with the Earth that fell apart.

…..

Promise is a mystery that only crow can tell.

Before he spoke, he died, he fell into the deep dark well.

Between the stars I heard Her crying.  “What will be will be”.

Sweet NUIT Her scrying eye still seemed sweet to me.

…..

“Another eon passes”.  Is what She said to me.

I believe that promise, was not meant to be.

It kept us all laughing at the torment of crow.

We hunted wolf to many years, now it’s we must go.

…..

I pulled you from the shadows, and gave to you my rib.

Oh no, my name’s not Adam.I would not tell that fib.

But let my bone be a crutch, upon witch you stand.

And draw the circle once again, around the empty sand.

Draw the circle once again, around the empty sand.

Draw the circle once again.
