TUAIM

TUAIM

.

I dreamed a dream of my mother.

My mother of ancient day.

Standing on a shore,

of a deep green wooded bay.

.

She stood with arms wide open,

hailing her son from far away.

I flew to the arms of my mother.

We embraced in the ancient way.

.

Carry my dream to Galway.

Carry my dream to Galway Bay.

.

I’d love to ride a tall ship,

on the river Tuiam.

There stands castle Dundrik,

my ancestral dune.

.

There stand the men of Tuaim.

Each one strong and fast.

They stand against the bitter wind,

that bends the mighty mast.

.

Carry my dream to Galway.

Carry my dream to Galway bay.

Carry my dream to Galway.

Carry my dream.

.

Carry my dream to Galway.

Carry my dream to Galway Bay.
