Good Morning In The Country

It’s a Good Morning In The Country.

Have another cup of coffee.

The Sun will soon be peeking through.

The cleft between the mountains.

Where the waters flow in fountains.

I guess it’s time to tie those shoes.

 *

We’ll go milking cows and chopping wood.

Hunting like old Robin Hood.

Plowing corn and pitching hay.

Cleaning stalls and feeling good.

Then it might be time to say.

Good afternoon in the country.

Have another cup of coffee.

The Sun is shining high above.

The valley between the mountains.

Where our sweat flows in fountains.

I guess it’s time to hose off those shoes.

We’ll go milking cows and chopping wood.

Hunting like old Robin Hood.

Plowing corn and pitching hay.

Cleaning stalls and feeling good.

Then it might be time to say.

*

“When you work hard you drink hard.

We make our coffee out of the hardest water available.

Have another cup”.

Good evening in the country.

Don’t have another coffee.

The Sun will soon be peeking through.

The slit between your eyes.

Where you were trying to hide.

Now it’s time to put on those shoes.

We’ll go milking cows and chopping wood.

Hunting like old Robin Hood.

Plowing corn and pitching hay.

Cleaning stalls and feeling good.

Then it might be time to say.

It’s Sunday in the country.

Have another cup of coffee.

We’ll do no work today.

But when your done a-shining and a-buffing.

Shaving or powder puffing.

We’ll walk to church, it’s only ten miles away.

Good Morning In The Country.

How do you do
